Dwight "Cato" Jr. is a School Counselor in his 4th year. He has worked with children/education for a total of 6 years. Before working with children, Cato took a job as a Community Engagement Specialist, where he worked specifically with adults with disabilities. During this time, he would use music production/recording as a way to bring joy to people's lives. The participants would get the opportunity to record their own songs or karaoke a favorite song and keep a copy for themselves.
Get to Know Us
Dwight has been creatively expressing himself through writing songs/poetry since the age of ten. After the loss of his father, writing became the source of letting out anger, sadness, and other feelings over the years. Cato's first real public release was his mixtape entitled "Loaded Thoughts" in 2012. Since then, he has released two more mixtapes; "Unloading Thoughts" - 2015/"E.mcee P.oetics" with P-Mo (2017), a self released album entitled "Sacrifices" - 2020, more recently released his new mixtape in a more unorthodox way. #32WeeksMixtape is a 32 track project in which the songs were released weekly alongside a tailored visual. the project contains many vignettes from his childhood, giving listeners an intimate/vulnerable view into Cato's life.
